And they recently received financing to expand production even further and bring their products to \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAsia \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eand \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNorth America. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nNormally, when you hear \"triple distilled\" it’s applied to an Irish Whiskey. \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGlasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Single Malt Release No. 1\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is a full-fledged Scottish Lowland Single Malt that has passed thrice through the still. And we have to admit that we are impressed that it has been aged in virgin casks. Don’t get us wrong… there is NOTHING wrong with Bourbon and Sherry casks. But if you want to taste\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e the pure influence of Spirit and wood,\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e this is the way to do it. In addition, it’s bottled at what we think is the perfect strength — 46% ABV— which makes it a \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003efull-flavored sipper \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003ethat will also stand up to ice. Again, the staves!\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nAnyway, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ethe lavish Spice Tree is back. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eAfter some tinkering and conspiratorial meetings with barrel makers, they came up with \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ea unique hybrid Oak cask\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e that brings similar results as the verboten version. And its second coming is wonderfully stunning. The 2.0 version was matured in custom-made American Oak casks with heads made of French Oak, and the result is a rich and intense malt with toasty accents and a taste that is so grand it should be illegal again. It's \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ean awe-inspiring dram\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e and\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e expect unexpected\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e smiles or even grins.
