Bella Ciao Sweatshirt

A sturdy and warm sweatshirt made with air-jet spun yarn for a soft feel and reduced pilling, celebrating the Italian partisan resistance, and the song which became the most famous partisan anthem: Bella Ciao. The lyrics of the song, which serves as the standard theme tune to our podcast, include the words:
"And if I die as a partisan
You have to bury me
But bury me up in the mountain
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao,
But bury me up in the mountain
Under the shadow of a beautiful flower"
The image features an Italian mountain, from which many partisan units were based, as well as Italian papaveri (poppies) – the flowers which came to symbolise the armed resistance to fascism.
