The youngest age-statement release in the Port Askaig range of Islay single malts comes from an undisclosed distillery on Islay. Port Askaig 8 Year Old Single Malt is an approachable introduction to Islay whisky. Its sweet, peaty character is balanced by a gentle softness, while maturation in refill American oak allows the spirit’s natural flavours to shine.

Nose:
Vanilla sweetness, zesty citrus, and the iconic Islay peat smoke. 

Palate:
Soft salted caramel brings a sweetness to the palate, with waves of coastal peat smoke and liquorice.

Finish:
Medium length, with a hot kick of peppercorn.
