Shortcross Distillers Duo 5 Year Old

Duo Five Year Old from Shortcross Distillers showcases the best of Rademon Estate Distillery in County Down. This rare Irish whiskey unites their Single Pot Still and Single Malt expressions—the first of its kind crafted solely from estate-distilled whiskey. Matured for a minimum of five years in ex-bourbon and virgin American white oak barrels, the whiskeys are expertly blended by David Boyd-Armstrong. Double distilled on copper pot stills, including one of Ireland’s smallest, it offers remarkable depth, richness, and character.

Nose:
Custard creams, spiced vanilla and honey. Notes of pepper and orchard fruits.

Palate:
Undertones of pepper and warming spice, stewed sweet fruits with some medicinal clove and earthy notes. Aniseed and tobacco also present. 

Finish:
Warm finish, some more honey, pot still spices and tobacco leaf.
